Good People

A few days ago, I asked people to visit the journal of a woman who is filled with sadness.  As I suspected, J-Land is filled with wonderful people.  First there was Bea, who added the request to her journal.  Then there were all the others, way too many to name, who stopped by to visit her and let her know that she is valued.

When I began my journal a few months ago, I had no idea that it was going to lead to meeting so many interesting, warm, witty, people.  There is Bea who always has words of wisdom and comfort; Jo (private journal) who sends me the funniest emails that leaving me rolling on the floor; Kate who writes with such intellectual verve about a variety of topics and always makes me think; Stacy who inspires me and makes me laugh; Marie who delights me with her focus on living life to the fullest and makes me hungry with her delicious recipes; and so many others that provide me with sustenance.  I can't name all of you here, but please know that I appreciate each and every one of you.

One last thing, I've added a new song, Ave Maria  by Jane Olivor.  She has an exquisite voice; it's what I imagine an angel sounds like when she sings.  She has a great Christmas album, Songs of the Season.

Thank you so much Sheria for the mention and your kind words. I thoroughly enjoy reading your journal and the others that you mention (well apart from Jo's private journal as I do not have access!). J'land is one bug happy community.

Oh, how nice.  I can't wait to listen to the song.  I agree with you that there are many warm and witty people in "J-land" I, too, have come to appreciate.  Many have good hearts and are quite willing to go and give an ailing person support. Some of their comments are very wise and insightful.  I really appreciated your comment to my journal about food problems, which have bugged me my whole life, too  I was absolutely horrified to think I had decayed my new front teeth with candy out of my Mother's store! There are so many such consequences.    Gerry

Sheria, thanks so much for the kind words.  They mean alot to me.  You know?  We appreciate you as well.  Whenever I hear that little jingle and an alert comes up that you have made a new post I am on it like a dog on a bone.  I just can't wait to read what you have written next.  I have my favorites just like you.  This really is a great community to belong to.  I'm so glad I found it.

Beautiful song.. I've always loved that one... one of my mother's favorites as well. How did you add that as a link? I have not done that little trick before! Would like to do it, though.. I like the idea of linking to a favorite song that I want others to hear. Can you email me the instructions? or write an entry about it and I'll catch it on my alerts. Thanks ... btw, thank you also for the complimentary words... I'm going to email our new girl on the block and let her know that I heard it first from you. I can remember when each one of us has found someone who needed a visit, and always J-land people respond immediately. You gotta love this neighborhood!  <grin>  Bea

Hey, Im Dina.  I would like to get to know some people in AOL Journal land.  No one ever EVER leaves me comments.  I dont know why.  Maybe my journal is boring.  Anyway, I would love to leave a link to it but I dont know how :(  It's titled Dina's Thoughts.  Can you email me and let me know how to put some cool stuff in my journal like I see many people have.
