Learning new things

I have no idea if this will work properly. I've been so impressed with my friend Bea's videos that I decided to try it for myself. Of course, one has to have a subject for making a video. When I began this journal I promised to be totally self-absorbed and write about me. Not wanting to disappoint anyone, my little video is about me. It's a series of images that reflects the woman that I am. I'm not certain that it really qualifies as a video because it consists of a series of still images with a little background music. You have to click the play button at the bottom of the screen to view the video.

I've had an inquiry as to the artist who supplied the sketch in my little video. His name is Russ, he's a wonderful artist and has a gem of a journal, Inner and Outer Demons. The music is by Corinne Bailey Rae, click here for entire song.

Well done Sheria, I'm impressed!  I may yet to get to that stage where I can make my computer do things like that - love the pictures, especially the drawing, it's so much like you!  Who did it?  Love, Pat    http://journals.aol.co.uk/pm71blackfen/ramblings-from-pat/

Congratulations Sheria!  Well done!  Loved the music as well.  I'm not sure if I could manage this myself!  Oh yes, Caster sugar is the same as white sugar.  Have a great weekend!

Sheria, that was 'bloody brilliant' as us Brits would say! I might even have to give it a go myself!

Okay! Alright!!! The music is so you. I loved Russ' toon of you. Like you, I had never expected to put so many visuals in my journal when I first began. But I like learning how to use this technology, and the journal is like a vehicle, taking me to places I have never gone before! I guess you could call it "Net Trek" or "Blog Trek" I don't know... I just know I enjoy learning all the things I can do with the computer, being on the internet, and how what I've learned here can be used in my classroom, for me as a teacher, and for the students. I need to be a step ahead of them, and for too long, they have been a step ahead of me. They probably still are. But I'm getting there. Loved your first video, Sheria!!! bea

Loved the stills in the videa dear heart. Your a beautiful woman and soul. Not sure if my own patience would hold up to doing something akin to the videos you and Bea have both done. (Hugs) Indigo

Awesome tune, one of my favourites. If only we had some sunshine here to go with it.

I love the video including Russ's drawings.  I just wish it was longer!  I have had so much fun making Aunt Santhea with Doc, but it is close to 3 hours viewing! I am really long winded, the whole play plus all of Doc's improving in a reading.  Let me know if you would like to look at some of it at least and I will send you a copy.  I have got one back and it is sitting here unviewed.  We erased the film so I would like it back after a respectable length of time just so I will have one copy.  In certain moods I like to put it on and view it again!  Gerry  You will have to send me an address via e-mail.   Gerry
